Fiona studied Art at what was then known as the West Surrey College of Art and design in Farnham, Surrey. It was a long time until the canvas and paints came out again, but a walk with some friend’s in her local bluebell woods gave her all the motivation she needed. An experimental piece of an acrylic on canvas attracted a lot of interest and quickly sold. Many sales later, she has realised that her passion for the beautiful countryside both in this country and France can be shared and enjoyed by others. She works mainly in acrylic, playing with layers of paint, applying it with credit cards, fingers and occasionally a brush! Seeing the world in blocks of colour and shapes gives her work a semi-abstract feel. Recently Fiona has been involved with a series of successful exhibitions as well as winning awards for her innovative style.
